Although I live in a small wooded paradise, my neighborhood has many houses and therefore many people. With the pandemic, no less than 15 houses have been built, reducing the habitat of the animals that are so dear to me.
-
Recently, 2 bears came to visit the neighborhood, in search of food. Many of us have noticed that these two big furry animals have overturned the garbage cans and emptied the contents of all the bird feeders, and even kept some for themselves.
-
Some neighbors saw them, I didn't, I wish I had. But I could see some nice footprints in the mud, showing their majesty and presence.
-
They came here because we humans are taking up more and more space. Many people want to build themselves new and quieter cities, which has the effect of reducing more and more the inhabitable wild territories. Everyone thinks that they only build their own house, that the impact on nature is small. Everyone forgets that this everyone is multiplied and exponential by all those who do the same.
-
It saddens me to see that animals are reduced to having to rummage through our garbage to ensure their subsistence, while worrying about what could happen to them since at any moment a Human could see them and react badly. The majority of humans are not able to bear the presence of marmots and raccoons, with whom it is easy to cohabit, but what about large mammals?
-
Why do we want to build new houses when there are so many beautiful houses for sale that just need a little love? There is something I don't understand here. We advocate the reuse of our goods on a daily basis to limit the waste of resources, and we are not willing to do this when it comes to construction.
-
Let's give the animals the territory that belongs to them and recreate the habitats we have destroyed. Join me in my mission and give hope to these lost and hungry bears. By purchasing a reproduction of one of my artists, not only will you beautify your home, but you will remember my bears for the rest of your life and share their story.
