Chance is good. In fact, I don't believe in chance, but rather in life's appointments, when it conspires, according to its own logic, to put the right people in your path, at the right time.
That's what happened this year with one of my artists, Isabelle Gosselin which led us to create Les enchères de l'espoir.
I've always been keen to help my fellow man. Not only the planet, with the trees I have planted, but also helping all those who don't have the same privileges as me, whether in terms of health, work or well-being. I have such a thirst for justice that I asked the universe how I could do my bit on a grand scale.
During a professional meeting with Isabelle, I told her about the work I was doing for Parkinson Estrie. She replied that she had done something similar for an organization close to her heart. This was the beginning of our wonderful joint project Les enchères de l'espoir, a turnkey service aimed at bringing significant funds to philanthropic foundations and organizations through personalized art auctions.
Our first auction came at a time when we hadn't completed all aspects of our project. Everything was done as we needed it, with the greatest of ease and fluidity. What's happening is so simple and beautiful that I'm sure Isabelle and I are fulfilling a mission that life has given us.
She's an artist, I'm an art curator. She has a rational, calculating side that I don't have. On the other hand, my communication skills are a perfect complement to her strengths. She's a pro at exhibitions, packaging and management. I have under my wing a number of talented artists in whom I have faith and who trust me.
Our slogan The fusion of art and heart is a perfect illustration of our mission and our desire to contribute to society. We've had an excellent reception from the organizations we've contacted, which proves the validity of our baby.
The fusion of art and heart not only means giving back to society, but also ensuring that our artists benefit financially. There's no question here of donating works of art, which is unfortunately a common practice in philanthropy. Artists are entrepreneurs, and their work must be rewarded. With Les enchères de l'espoir, there's something for everyone.
Les enchères de l'espoir is more than just a project, it's a life mission. It's a heart-to-heart project between 2 passionate people. Isabelle and I have a professional relationship based on trust, mutual respect and a shared vision of art and philanthropy. Together, we form a harmonious team, determined to make a positive difference in society through our shared love of art.
