Interpretation of the work by the artist:
Mixed media (acrylic and silver leaf)
The invisible crown is the one that everyone wears, often without knowing it, it is intimate. It has no gems or gold, it is hammered with courage, It is sculpted with labor and know-how, it is polished by will and it has the prettiest patina that exists, that of love.
What this painting represents for me:
The greatness of the beings we meet, these qualities that do not appear on the curriculum vitae, these adjectives for which there is no training.
La couronne invisible - Martine Tremblay
For her figurative works, the inspiration comes from the deep impression left by certain texts, by proverbs or by expressions. The words provoke a multitude of images in the artist's brain. That is why her sketchbook contains only titles. These are significant, symbolic and lead us to a reflection.
