Interpretation of the work by the artist:
This work is a portrait of a woman from Polynesia represented between two cultures, a mixed-race woman. This woman looks to the future with determination.
The colors used mainly are black, white and gray which signify a certain sadness, melancholy in the character and in his universe. The very red hibiscus flower attached to the hair represents both an open wound and the wounded heart of this woman. But her gaze is determined to move forward.
Its title, Maintenant, suggests to us that certain decisions, certain actions must be made now, and cannot wait any longer, on pain of being lost.

She likes to mix both portraiture and figurative nature with mixtures of fluid paintings, whose colors are borrowed from nature as the different shades of blue, ochre, the color hers ... in a spontaneous and uncontrolled. Sometimes, she adds to this association, calligraphy that accentuates the link in her paintings between the past and the words of the present.
